07 January 2008
Recent research suggests that 43% of the population are considering purchasing a property abroad. Spain remains the most popular destination and Murcia still amongst the most affordable.
A survey conducted by the Yorkshire bank found 43% of the respondents were considering buying property overseas. Spain was the most popular destination with 45% expressing their preference for the relaxed way of life and sunshine on offer there, for holidays, for retirement or as an investment. Elsewhere, statistics shows property in the relatively unspoilt region of Murcia remains an attractive and affordable proposition with an average house prices of €215,000 well below some of the traditionally popular but now increasingly over-developed regions of the country.
