Locality Mar de Cristal is on the coast of the beautiful Mar Menor, Murcia in the area known as ‘Costa Calida’ – the ‘Warm Coast’, noted for above average days of sunshine and above average water temperature.
There are many Spanish villages close by with a huge selection of Spanish restaurants and bars (sorry, no Karaoke!). The quiet town of Mar de Cristal is a perfect spot for families as it is safe for children to walk from the apartment to the beach. The uncrowded beaches of Mar Menor have no tides or waves and the water is warm and fairly shallow, making it safe and fun for children and adults alike.
There are two small but well-stocked supermarkets in Mar de Cristal, and many more just minutes away by car. There are a few restaurants and tapas bars in Mar de Cristal and many, many more in the surrounding villages.
Large cities such as Cartagena and Murcia are easily accessible by car, bus or train.
La Manga Club is a five minute drive away with its international restaurants, golf courses and sports facilities, including tennis and lawn green bowling.
For those looking for more adventure, a ten-minute drive brings you to La Manga strip which contains along its length specialist clubs who cater for hang gliding, parachuting and most watersports. There is a go-karting track and a roller skating rink.
The road running though La Manga offers the safety of a cycle lane and, with the exception of ‘Monte Blanco’, the hill-free road provides an ideal location for families, novices and professionals to ride at their leisure.
Alongside the preserved area of ‘Parque de Calbanque’ and overlooking the Mediterranean is ‘Sierra de Cartagena’, an ideal location for hill walking, climbing and mountain biking

Rental Notes The rental prices are in Pounds Sterling and are for a one week stay. An end-of-let cleaning service will be charged locally at 50 euros for 4 persons and 65 euros for 6 persons. Discounts for long lets are negotiable. A non-refundable booking deposit of £100 is required to confirm your booking. A £100 security bond is also required and will be refunded to you within a few days of your departure, less any damage costs, should there be any.
